50 years of something new in Asia: the star of Algeiba
The Star of Algeiba is named after one of the brightest stars in the sky in the constellation Leo, also known as Gamma Leonis. The star is said to get its name from Al-Jabbah, meaning "the forehead", which marks the star's position in the formation of the lion's mane. The Algeiba Star is rich in a captivating yellow hue, graded at the highest levels of Fancy grading for yellow diamonds. For a diamond weighing over 130 carats to be classified as Fancy Vivid is astonishing. Throughout history, there have only been a handful of yellow diamonds over a hundred carats, placing The Algeiba Star among the rarest gemstones.
