Monsters suddenly began to materialize everywhere. /"The Great Sage/", Ichikami Atsumu, was the only person who could stop /"The Calamity/" from destroying humanity. Although he is satisfied with his death, he is reborn as Kusanagi Minato, a young man who had been bullied into committing suicide.
Atsumu is surprised to find a quiet world where magic is much weaker than it was during his lifetime when he wakes up in Japan fifty years from now. For now, Atsumu chooses to return to Kamui Magic Academy as Minato. However, he discovers that mages are just a relic of the past and that a class of wizards has taken their place.
