In Stilton, a Roman cheese press is discovered – part of a clutch of fine Roman objects found in the side of a ditch. As if digging down through several metres of Fenland bog to open up the ditch were not enough, Tony and the team realise they are in the middle of a rich archaeological landscape and soon make a shocking and unexpected discovery. In amongst the finds are the skeletal remains of a mother and child.
