Air disasters: complete episode of death and denial
EgyptAir Flight 990 was on a routine flight when, en route to Cairo, the plane suddenly lost altitude and plunged into the water. Tragically, the Boeing 767 crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, killing all 217 people on board. After the October 31, 1999 plane crash, the Egyptian government asked the US NTSB to lead the investigation. As investigators raced to find the cause, they had to consider all options. Was it a mechanical failure or an intentional human maneuver that caused the plane to crash?
