Yes, I mispronounced Matriarchal
There are indeed many translations by Koning van Katoren, even an English version (which is no longer in print) from the 1970s! More info here: https://bit.ly/KoningvanKatorenVertaling
I can't believe I said "Hunger Game" instead of "Hunger Games." It was impossible to save while editing.

Frequently asked questions

Where does your accent come from?
I was born and raised in the Netherlands, studied English literature at Leiden University (also in the Netherlands), studied in the USA for 3 months and have a lot of American friends. Now that I live in London, I still have my American accent, but with a lot of British vocabulary mixed in.
Where do you live?
I currently live in North London.
Where do you work?
I'm an independent social media producer, speaker, and YouTuber/blogger. Before that, I was Audience Manager at Penguin Random House UK.
How did you get your job in the publishing industry?
I've done work experience in publishing on 3 different occasions, done a lot of networking and learned everything I know about social media by creating and running my YouTube channel for 8 years. Ps, you don't necessarily need to study publishing or English to get a job in publishing.
