Departing from a Caribbean eco-paradise on their flight back to the United States, the vacationers and newlyweds on board don't realize that their real adventure has only just begun. Hidden on this ill-fated plane are army ants, a super-organism made up of millions of individuals, whose only imperative is survival. Emerging from the smallest spaces within the plane's interior as individuals, they quickly gather into a black swarm and attack, to feed and/or defend themselves. Once they overwhelm a victim, there is no escape. If this terror is not enough, their survival is also threatened when the pilot is denied permission to land anywhere because the ants are like the plague or bird flu that might not be able to be controlled. The threat is considered so serious that if they try to land in the United States, F16s are in the air, ready to shoot them down. It is now up to the pilot, a woman who has her young daughter on board as a passenger, to get everyone off safely. Somewhere. If you feel something crawling up your leg, hope it doesn't bite.
