Audiobook "Hearts in Atlantis" Part 3 by Stephen King Read by William Hurt & SK 1999
(Complete Book, Part 3 of 4) Hearts in Atlantis is composed of five interconnected sequential stories, set in the years 1960 to 1999. Each story is deeply rooted in the Sixties and each is haunted by the Vietnam War.
In part one, /"Low Men in Yellow Coats/", eleven-year-old Bobby Garfield discovers a world of predatory villainy in his own neighborhood. He also discovers that adults are sometimes not rescuers but at the heart of terror.
In the main story, a group of students become addicted to a card game and discover the possibility of protest. . . and confront their own collective heart of darkness, where laughter may be nothing more than the thinly disguised cry of the beast.
In /"Blind Willie/" and /"Why We're in Vietnam/," two men who grew up with Bobby in suburban Connecticut attempt to fill the void of the post-Vietnam era in an America that sometimes seems so hollow … -and haunted — like their own lives.
And in /"Heavenly Shades of Night Are Falling/", the denouement of this remarkable audiobook, Bobby returns to his hometown where one last secret, the hope of redemption and his heart's desire may await him.

Out of all the audiobooks I've converted to digital format, this one was probably in the worst overall condition and it's one of the "newest/". I removed as much filler music as possible. You will also hear crackling or crackling sounds in a few places, but be patient, it doesn't last too long.
