1. Austin Butler will star in "City on Fire."
2. The 31-year-old actor landed his first starring role since his Oscar-nominated performance in "Elvis," playing crime boss Danny Ryan in the adaptation of Don Winslow's novel.
3. Austin will serve as producer on the Sony 3000 Pictures film alongside David Heyman, Shane Salerno, Elizabeth Gabler and Marisa Paiva.
4. “City on Fire” is the first in a trilogy of novels and there is hope that the film could be the start of a franchise in which Butler will appear.
5. The trilogy focuses on two criminal empires – one Irish, one Italian – that control New England when an event tears them apart and sparks a brutal war.
6. Austin's character, Danny Ryan, is forced to go from street soldier to ruthless leader to protect his family.
