Isabel Stadnick – Back to the roots

Fascinated by Native American culture, Isabel left a relatively normal and comfortable life in Switzerland in 1989 and took a long journey to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Here she met her husband, a member of the Oglala Lakota tribe, they founded the Lakota Waldorf School. Isabel believes that the best way to prepare for the future is to anchor yourself and your community in the past, in heritage and roots. Isabel says: /"To know where we are going, we need to know where we come from, and that is the best way for children to be the creators of their own future./"
