At the beginning, the profession of bounty hunter is explained. Someone on the run named Burch tries to surprise bounty hunter Jim Kipp, but Kipp defeats him. Kipp brings Burch's body to town to collect the prize. Someone from the Pinkerton Detective Agency asks Kipp to find three people on the run. Three masked guys robbed a store and stole 100,000. People know that Kipp will do anything for money, so they give him a big reward if he can catch the criminals, alive or dead.

The Bounty Hunter is a 1954 American western film. It stars Randolph Scott, Marie Windsor and Dolores Dorn. In his six westerns with Depot, this was the last. It was also the first film with a bounty hunter as the main character. Warner Bros. published it. It was shot in 3D but only released in normal format. There is, however, 3D printing in the Warmer files. At the beginning of the film, stock footage from the 1952 film Carson City is used. Parts of the film were filmed in Red Rock Canyon and California's Mojave Desert.
