Cal Newport is an associate professor of computer science at Georgetown University. His research focuses on distributed systems theory, while his mainstream writing explores the intersections of culture and technology. He is the author of eight books, including Slow Productivity, Digital Minimalism, and Deep Work. Newport is also a contributing writer to The New Yorker and the host of the Deep Questions podcast.
