CHRISTINE ROSSETTI (1830-1894)*
Born Christina Georgina Rossetti in London, England. Rossetti's father was an Italian nobleman, his mother came from a line of educated and influential people. Educated by a home tutor: Rossetti received an excellent education. Immersed in a world of artists, writers and creators, Rossetti began writing poetry in 1842. Initially an imitator, she developed her own style which resulted in the success of “Goblin Market” in 1862 Fame and commercial success followed. Died in 1894 in London, England.
