Re-enacting Retro – The ultimate classic mid-20th century national park film for Shiloh National Military Park. Produced in 1956 and made largely by locals and volunteers, this film was shown in the park for decades. You will see on the screen many original uniforms, cannons, muskets and equipment used by the soldiers. A superb time capsule.

We hope you enjoy. This is another in a series of posts on our YouTube channel from a cool new series of old videos – featured only here – from a personal collection of re-enactments of 1980s films and videos that we don't found nowhere. otherwise, or we tried to find them out of nostalgia, but we dug ourselves and present here the results of our treasure hunt. Some are from VHS originals or DVD transfers of those VHS copies. The originals were in standard definition or recorded on video on television when they were first broadcast. Some were filmed by professionals and others by individuals with “portable” home video cameras on their shoulders.

Some Classic Re-enacting videos are already viewable on YouTube, but we wanted to launch a new series of classics that have rarely or never been seen before, have only been released once, or were short-lived and only available to a few privileged at the time. We hope you enjoy. These programs featured in this RE-ENACTING RETRO series are presented for everyone's enjoyment and we do not claim them for ourselves.
