Boris Johnson had to rely on Labor votes to get his proposals – to show proof of Covid vaccination or a negative lateral flow test – approved, with 96 Conservative MPs voting against the plans.
The government won the controversial vote on Covid passports despite opposition from dozens of Conservative backbenchers, with a majority of 369 votes to 126.
It is the biggest rebellion of Mr Johnson's tenure so far, with Tory MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown warning he has until the summer to "turn around" or risk a challenge of leadership.
