(Abridged) Stephen King's #1 national bestseller about a small mining town, Desperation, which many will enter on their way to another place. But getting out of it isn't as easy as it seems… /"I see holes like eyes. My mind is full of them./" For all intents and purposes, police officer Collie Entragian, head of the force from the small mining town of Despair, Nevada seems completely crazy. He has a habit of stopping vehicles along desolate Interstate 50 and kidnapping unwary travelers with various unusual schemes. There's something seriously wrong here in Desperation…and Officer Entragian is only scratching the surface. The secrets hidden in the landscape of Desperation and the horrific evil that infects the city like a viral hot zone are both awe-inspiring and terrifying. But one of Entragian's victims, young David Carver, seems to know – and it almost scares him to understand this truth – that the forces summoned to combat this dreadful maniacal aberration are of equal and opposite intensity…

The majority of these audiobooks, which have been converted from audio cassettes to digital MP3 files, are over 30 years old. Some cassettes had to be taken apart and put back together, which can be a very delicate procedure. Just a little something I thought I would do to be able to recover these particular works and share them with others before cassettes and cassette players completely deteriorate and before the world of analog recording becomes completely obsolete. Most are not real books because they are abridgements. When I first started collecting these audiobooks, the complete books on cassette were either very rare or extremely expensive. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit.
