Does anyone read Paul Auster? #AccidentalAuthor

Seriously! The only book by Paul Auster that seemed essential reading was a total failure for me. Since then, I have delved into its production from time to time and have been quite satisfied with it. I think 4 3 2 1 was well reviewed and more widely read than some of his earlier novels, but I still have difficulty placing this author in the modern literary landscape.

Can one of you help me?
