About
Dope DOD is an internationally renowned hip hop group from the Netherlands, with roots in Africa and England. The group is made up of rappers Skits Vicious, Jay Reaper and Dopey Rotten. Well known for putting strong vocal lines over aggressive beats, their style blends classic hip hop with elements of electronic genres. It would lead to collaborations with Noisia, Mefjus, The Teddy Killerz, Black Sun Empire and Apashe, to name a few.
Difficult to categorize, their fan base often describes their sound as "their own" with a strong inclination towards complex lyrics and outlandish topics. This earned them recognition from heavyweights like Limp Bizkit, Korn, Sean Price, The Prodigy, Redman, Onyx and many others with whom they had the opportunity to work and tour after the release of their first music video / “What Happened/” (currently at 37 million views on YouTube).
Followed by sold-out concerts, from Russia to South America, their international career took off. This earned them an EBBA Award in their first year of success, frequent returns to some of Europe's biggest festivals (Splash, Sziget, HipHopKemp, Beats For Love, Lowlands, etc.) and even playing at the SXSW festival in the USA which led to an agreement with Duck Down Records for the release of their first album /"Branded/". Since then, they have released a series of projects including /"Da Roach/" /"Master Xploder/" /"The Ugly EP/" /"Acid Trap/
