Drone video of the Civil War Union Barracks site in Elmira NY. From 1861 to 1864, this site involved the mustering, training, and equipping of more than 20,000 Union soldiers. From 1864 to 1865, the site was converted into a military prison camp to house more than 12,000 Confederate prisoners of war. 2,963 died during their captivity.
