Embracing change with less stress by WO/Prof Angie Chew
Changes can be disarming and disrupt what we are used to.

Changes beyond our control have been more frequent over the past two years due to the pandemic. Changes also occur in our relationships and in our own growth.

This session will share/discuss how mindfulness can help us be more ready for changes and reduce the stress we feel in life as the changes around and within us continue to evolve.

Speaker: Adj A/Prof Angie Chew, Director and CEO of Mindfulness, Brahm Center

Adj. Assistant Professor Chew is the founder and CEO of the Brahm Centre, a charity with over 50 employees dedicated to promoting healthier and happier lifestyles. In recognition of her contributions to the field of mental health, she was named Singaporean of the Year 2019 by The Straits Times.

She is the first certified mindfulness-based stress reduction teacher in Singapore by Brown University, University of Massachusetts, a certified Dot-b and Paws b mindfulness teacher, and a course instructor in cognitive-based therapy. on mindfulness as part of training at the Mindfulness Center at the University of Oxford.

She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor and teaches mindfulness at the National University of Singapore. She has taught mindfulness classes, workshops and retreats to over 10,000 people of all ages.

Launched in 2012, Brahm Center Singapore is a registered charity that provides science-based mindfulness programs and support to vulnerable older adults in our community to the public.
