Episode 4 – Mission to Brittany by Helen MacInnes
The Muses are against us – or maybe it's just another week and therefore another opportunity for a random problem to develop, like our mic deciding to cut and cut while recording. We believe that wherever publishing has not been enough to appease the tech gods, your own contempt will suffice. Oh, also, if you intend to read this book in the future, then beware of SPOILERS regarding virtually every major plot point.

Anyway, we managed to release another episode much to the world's delight! In this particular one, Holly holds back from ranting for too long about the Dunkirk evacuation, and Rebecca manages not to faint because of her undying love for this book. Join us as we review this once acclaimed, now forgotten masterpiece, written by Helen MacInnes herself: Assignment in Brittany. (Listening bonus: you will be reminded several times that the year of publication of this book was 1942 and that its page count is 429.)

Did the sun seem brighter and the sky bluer after listening to this? Were you so unhappy after hearing it that you just wished it would rain forever and ever? Either way, we will be forever indebted to you for expressing your thoughts. What is this? You do not know how ?! Rate and comment and/or like and subscribe depending on the platform on which you listen to us (incidentally, this podcast is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Youtube). We have an Instagram account that you can follow @tworetiredhomeschoolers. We even have an email: [email protected]. Join us in two weeks to hear about Jane Austen's Emma and see the next caption I'm overthinking in an effort to make this monotonous list of podcast information worth reading.

Please take the opportunity to connect and share this video with your friends and family if you find it useful.
