Fallout has a lot of history, some pretty mysterious factions and characters, many of which are lost or simply never known about. So I present to you 4 of Fallout's biggest mysteries, as well as several theories that try to explain what's really going on. Vault-Tec existed as early as 2031, when it acquired and renamed the local college in Morgantown as Vault-Tec University. The company could be older than that and it could even have had another name, we don't know. But we do know that in the early 2050s, thanks to the war in the Middle East, the new plague, and the collapse of the United Nations, the US government launched Project Safehouse.
