Forgotten 1968 Pontiac Firebird – Will it run and drive 700 miles?

I traded my Corvette for a 1968 Firebird sight sight unseen. Then I realized the only way I'm going to get home is in this first generation Pontiac. It was reported to have some issues and hasn't been driven on the road in a decade. I have a snow storm hitting me and I'm over 700 miles from home. Do you think I'll make it?
