Wrestling Bios Presents – Glacier's History in WCW
When Eric Bischoff created WCW Nitro and began to make the leap to success in World Championship Wrestling, one of his mantras was to create a more reality-based television show compared to the WWF's Raw shows. With the introduction of The Outsiders to WCW, this mantra came to fruition. However, there seem to be exceptions to every rule when it comes to Eric Bischoff, as he also decided to create the character of The Glacier, a character that he believed would bring in a lot of money.
Glacier's WCW debut was put on hold as the nWo storyline took over WCW programming in mid-1996. This did not stop WCW from constantly airing vignettes and hype videos regarding the debut of this character inspired by Sub Zero. Perhaps through too much hype, Glacier finally debuted on television screens and the similarities to another big-selling franchise at the time were really hard to miss. Shortly after his debut, Glacier began feuding with Mortis and Wrath in a storyline titled "Blood Runs Cold".
