The Basalt Blue Sparkle Les Paul Deluxe is a holy grail piece for Gibson collectors from the 70s – on top of that, I think it's one of the coolest finishes in general from the era when cherry sunbursts and "earth tones" were the most popular. These sparkly finishes didn't really take off at Gibson until the early 2000s, but here these things are 1975, they're crazy out there and different. This is easily one of my favorite guitars in my collection. I have no plans to let this one go, but I don't regret letting my last one fly as it is in a loving home.
