Georgia Ede MD is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist specializing in nutritional sciences, brain metabolism, and mental health. Her twenty-five decades of clinical experience include many years as an academic psychiatrist and nutritional consultant at Smith College and Harvard University Health Services, where she was the first psychiatrist to propose approaches based on nutrition as an alternative to psychiatric medications.
Dr. Ede speaks internationally on dietary approaches to psychiatric disorders, nutrition science, and nutrition policy reform. She is also the creator and director of the first medically accredited course on ketogenic diets for mental health practitioners. In 2022, she co-authored the first inpatient study of the ketogenic diet for serious mental illness and was honored to be named the recipient of the Baszucki Brain Research Fund's first annual Metabolic Mind Award. His next book Change Your Diet, Change Your Mind will be released on January 30, 2024.
