How Neanderthals disappeared: Scientists make surprising new discovery
Did you know that Neanderthals did not disappear as previously thought? In a recent study, scientists discovered traces of Neanderthal DNA in modern-day humans. This news is causing many people to reconsider the extinction of Neanderthals. This discovery has sparked much debate, and scientists are still trying to determine whether Neanderthals posed a threat to Homo sapiens or were simply another species in the world. However, this new information will certainly change the way we think about Neanderthals and human evolution!

About 600,000 years ago, Europe was invaded by big-brained hominids using Acheulean stone tools. These were likely African immigrants, as similar fossils and tools exist earlier in Africa. They have been called archaic Homo sapiens, Homo heidelbergensis and early Neanderthals, but they remain mysterious. They may have been the ancestors of Neanderthals and modern humans, or the ancestors of Neanderthals only, or an evolutionary dead end.
