On May 11, 2019, at the Main Library, baseball historians Greg Rhodes, John Erardi and Greg Gajus discussed the incredible 1869 Cincinnati Red Stockings that defeated all challengers from coast to coast, contributed to launched the professional baseball revolution and made the pastime truly national. This is the story of that revolutionary season and the nine Red Stockings that made baseball famous. This lecture was part of the Library's celebration of the 150th anniversary of Reds baseball during the summer of 2019.
