THE MODEL QUESTIONS FOR ACT 1:
THE HOOK
What does my protagonist think will bring them true happiness or contentment? And how does her fear stop her from pursuing him?
INCITIVE INCIDENT
Why is this inciting incident important to my protagonist? How does this push her out of her comfort zone?
ACCUMULATE
What internal conflict will arise for my protagonist as a result of the inciting incident?
1ST PLOT POINT
How will my protagonist react to the inciting incident, given her fear and mistaken belief about the world? What decision will she make now to avoid the most suffering? (And get what she wants while avoiding what she's afraid of?)
1ST PINCH POINT
What is the force of opposition/antagonism that my protagonist will face later? How can we show the reader that it is already looming in the distance?
