Please join the Institute of Jazz Studies for an evening of in-depth conversation focused on Judith Tick's recently published masterful biography, Becoming Ella Fitzgerald: The Jazz Singer Who Transformed American Song. She will be joined by musicologist Darren Mueller and John Schreiber, who previously worked with Fitzgerald and are currently president and CEO of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. This not-to-be-missed discussion will offer new insight into Fitzgerald's impact on American music and his enduring musical legacy.
The event will be free, open to the public and will be held in person. The event will also be broadcast live on the Institute's Facebook page and its YouTube channel. Book signing will begin after the discussion concludes, with copies available for purchase.
