Leila Aboulela, a Sudanese-born writer whose work has been critically acclaimed and highly publicized for its distinctive exploration of identity, migration and Islamic spirituality, joined us for our first session of Tea Over Books this year to discuss his journey to writing and the influences behind his work, which highlights the challenges faced by Muslims in Europe.
