GARP recently completed a job task analysis for the Financial Risk Management (FRM) exam. The purpose of this study is to identify the work performed by financial risk managers and the knowledge and skills required to support the competent execution of these tasks. This study included the development and distribution of a survey of risk managers around the world on their key responsibilities and required skill sets. We will examine the results of this survey and the implications for the risk management profession and the future of the FRM program.
