Stolen heritage. By George GM James. Complete audiobook
Stolen Legacy is a book written by George GM James, an African-American teacher of Greek. The book was first published in 1954 and became a bestseller among people of African descent in the United States.

The central thesis of the book is that the ancient Greeks were not the authors of Greek philosophy, but the black people of North Africa, the Egyptians. James argues that the Greeks did not possess the native abilities essential for the development of philosophy and that what is called "Greek" philosophy is actually Egyptian philosophy, plagiarized from Egyptian sources by Greeks who studied in Egypt with Egyptian priests and who learned from them the philosophy and science of the Egyptian mystery system.

James's account of ancient history redirects to the black people of Africa the praise traditionally given to the Greeks in all Western educational institutions. He urges black people to stop quoting Greek philosophers "because we know their philosophy was stolen" from the black people of Egypt, and demands that they resign from fraternities and sororities and presumably any other institution honoring Greece antique.

The book is divided into two parts. Part one deals with the status of black people in ancient history, while part two deals with the status of black people in modern times. In part one, James argues that the ancient Egyptians were black and that the Greeks learned their philosophy from them. He also argues that the Greeks were not the authors of Greek philosophy, but that ideas and concepts were stolen from the ancient Egyptians when Alexander the Great "invaded Egypt and seized the Royal Library of Alexandria and plundered it.
