*I rate and review books using the CAWPILE method created by G at BookRoast. I discovered the system in late 2023 and modified the scale used by G to better incorporate the use of quarter stars to match how I personally want to rate books on the storygraph. I've found that CAWPILE gives me a better way to think critically about the books I read, so that I'm not just rating enjoyment.
*I tend to focus very heavily on character development in these reviews, as I find the characters to be the driving force of the story. that's why I talk about characters so much in my reviews.
