Current LitLand Rules

There are six colors related to six different genders. Each card I draw advances me in all areas and tells me which genre I choose to add to my To-Read (TBR) pile for the month.

I draw four cards to move forward in all areas each month.

If I land on a point, I have to pull a prompt from my Stuck Square cards; I also use them as punishment cards if I haven't finished one of my books from the previous month. BUT I allow rollovers, so I basically give myself two months to read a book or else I have to take punishment. Punishments also don't help me move forward in all areas.

If I draw a pink card with a book on it, I have to go where the genre on the card takes me. I also have to draw a challenge card and respond to this prompt.

There are also Troll Bridge cards, but I only draw them if I want to cross a bridge or land on a space with a rainbow sticker. I must respond to the prompt on this card in the month I am to receive punishment.

There's also the Monthly Troll, which is an optional challenge for you and me. I will draw a Troll Bridge card and if I succeed in whatever challenge it is, I can protect myself from punishment for the next month. You can play the game and take on this challenge with me, but without pressure.

At the end of LitLand, I can treat myself to a harvest of books. Currently, I am banned from purchasing books until I read 50 of my books or until I beat LitLand again.

Hopefully this helps us all stay on top of the rules. Sometimes I make changes as I go, but the current rules affecting this month's game should be listed above.

First of all, thank you so much for getting this far into the description box! I appreciate you being here and being a part of my bookish life. If you like what I do and want to show your support, here are a few things you can do.
Like the video! It helps me a lot to know what works and what I should continue to pursue.
Leave me a comment ! Even if I don't respond right away, I read all my comments and they mean a lot to me. They also help me get a sense of what this small community is interested in.
I also have a Bookshop.org and Amazon wish list. There's no pressure to spend money – any of the options above are amazing! But it's here if you want to poke around. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2X4S8WQI73H9?ref_wl_share
