MEDAL OF HONOR: Charge enemy bunkers with a rifle and Ronald Rosser grenades
Sergeant First Class Ronald E. Rosser, U.S. Army, received the Medal of Honor for leading an assault on a hill fort near Ponggilli during the Korean War. Rosser had served in the Army at the end of World War II and before arriving in Korea. He re-enlisted when his brother died in Korea, requesting front-line service. American native Ron Rosser died on August 26, 2020, one of the great heroes of the Korean War.
