She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of British Columbia, founding co-director of the Center for Climate Justice at UBC, and Honorary Professor of Media and Climate at Rutgers University. Klein will be in conversation with Ryan Grim. Grim is the DC bureau chief of The Intercept and host of the podcast /"Deconstructed/." He is the author of the newsletter "Bad News" and was previously Washington bureau chief for HuffPost, where he led a team that was twice a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and won one times. He was a reporter for Politico and the Washington City Paper and co-host of the show /"Counter Points/." He is the author of the books We've Got People (2019), This Is Your Country on Drugs (2009), and The Squad: AOC and the Hope of a Political Revolution, scheduled for release in late 2023.
