North Anna: Richmond Animated Battle Map

The Battle of North Anna raged May 23–26, 1864 as Ulysses S. Grant continued his land campaign against Robert E. Lee's Confederates. The battle consisted of bloody fighting for both sides as well as stalemates between the armies entrenched in the earthworks. The inconclusive battle ended when Grant moved his forces southeast toward Cold Harbor.
