Powerful letter from Syrian refugee and activist Muzoon UNICEF

“Dear fellow refugee… It may seem like everything is dark and hopeless, but there is light ahead.” Syrian refugee and education activist Muzoon, 19, wrote a poignant letter to his fellow refugees. A year after its launch at the World Humanitarian Summit, the #EducationCannotWait fund is helping nearly 2 million children struggling to stay in school in Syria, Yemen, Chad and Ethiopia. The goal is to provide every child affected by a crisis with safe, quality learning by 2030.

#EducationCannotWait brings together governments, humanitarians and development efforts to generate a new kind of collaboration for every child – it works. The fund is on track to transform education provision in emergencies and calls for increased investment to accelerate progress and urgently guarantee children's right to education.
