PSA – The cheap record player mechanism to avoid

This component 5 (or variations of it) is used in most budget fancy record players. That's fair enough when you only paid $30 for a player to listen to old, worn records for a little fun. Maybe not so great when those same 5 components make up the heart of your 100 record player purchased to play new limited edition vinyl albums of 25.
It's up to you how to spend your money – but it's also good to know exactly what you're paying for and how much care, attention and respect for you as a customer has been put into making what you you are. pay your hard earned money.
