Reacting to one-star reviews of Earthlings

Earthlings by Sayaka Murata (tr. Ginny Tapley Takemori) is a difficult read. It's haunting, upsetting and unpleasant. It's also a punk, edgy book with big themes and ideas, and not everyone likes it. I love it. Here I am defending him.
