After a wild night of partying at a friend's house, a couple wakes up to find the party host has been murdered in his bed. A detective is called in to investigate, but his investigation is hampered by the fact that the partygoers drank so much the night before that no one remembers what happened.

Do you remember last night? is a 1935 American mystery comedy film directed by James Whale. The film, based on the novel The Hangover Murders, follows the investigation into the murder of a member of a group of friends. The survivors are unable to remember the events of the night of the murder because they were all too drunk. Do you remember last night? features an ensemble led by Edward Arnold, Constance Cummings and Robert Young.

Whale convinced Universal Studios head Carl Laemmle, Jr. to purchase the screen rights to the novel so that Whale could avoid directing Dracula's Daughter, as he wished not to direct another horror film so soon after filming Bride of Frankenstein. Early versions of the script were deemed inappropriate under the Production Code due to their emphasis on excessive alcohol consumption. The original title of the novel was also unsuitable because of the word /"hangover/". Following revisions, the film was approved and released on November 4, 1935 to mixed reviews and poor box office results. (Imdb and Wikipedia)
