Repositioning of the poll: analysis of the greatest films of all time from Sight and Sound, BFI poll

The 2022 edition of Sight and Sound's ten-year poll of the greatest films of all time was released on December 1. Conducted by Jeanne Dielman of Chantal Akerman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Brussels, the results of the survey suggest significant changes in the way of seeing and appreciating films.

In this video, Sight and Sound editor Isabel Stevens highlights the changes since the 2012 poll – which was dominated by Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo – and welcomes the inclusion of many more films directed by women, ethnically diverse female directors and LGBTIQ filmmakers.
