Robin II: The Joker is wild! was a four-issue limited series that followed the first Robin limited series. Published every two weeks from October to December 1991, this series pitted Robin against Batman's most infamous enemy: the Joker. Each issue of the series featured a hologram enhancement and was distributed with variant cover artwork.

The Joker escapes Arkham Asylum and discovers his gang is led by Mister Freeze, while Robin follows a lead to join the Clown Prince of Crime in / "The Funniest Thing That Ever Happened."

The Joker's plot to turn Gotham into a hellhole of technology-inspired madness continues full throttle, and it seems Robin is nothing more than a nuisance to the madman in "Tomorrow, a Tragedy."
