William MacAskill is Associate Professor of Moral Philosophy at the University of Oxford and author of Doing Good Better, Moral Uncertainty and What We Owe The Future. He co-founded the nonprofit organizations 80,000 Hours, Center for Effective Altruism and Giving What We Can, and helped launch the effective altruism movement, which encourages people to use their time and money to support projects that contribute most effectively to making the world a better place. .
