It is important for everyone to take care of themselves, at any age. If you already know that self-care is essential to our well-being, do you practice it and how? Do you know what you can do to help your child or teen on the spectrum take care of themselves?

We are pleased to have Colleen Fuller, Licensed Clinical Counselor, to share with us “Caring for Children and Adolescents on the Spectrum”

About the speaker:
Colleen Fuller has been supporting individuals with ASD and their families in a variety of ways since the 1990s, first as an early childhood educator, and now as a licensed clinical counselor. She studied the particularly high stress levels of these families when she was a graduate student, and discovered that there are a number of unique stressors to manage while confronting this problem together.

Colleen has first-hand experience with the issue of autism, as one of her family members is on the autism spectrum.

Colleen now works as a counselor in New Westminster and Vancouver, connecting with and encouraging a number of adult clients with ASD. She has facilitated groups and taught seminars on neurodiverse parenting, relationships, and self-care.
