Shield for Murder (1954) Film Noir, Full length film with Edmond O'Brien
Shield for Murder is a 1954 American crime film co-directed by and starring Edmond O'Brien as a crooked police detective. It was based on the novel of the same name by William P. McGivern. Serious and tough, it's a very good film. I prefer this 4:3 framing to the more recent Kino Lorber 16:9 (neither is the theatrical original).
