Caucasian woman. Brown hair, blue eyes. Parker has an indentation on the side of his calf from an accident and scars on his left arm from an injury caused by a broken window. She already broke her pelvis and chipped her tailbone. Parker can wear glasses. His ears are pierced.
Details of the disappearance
Parker was last seen in Quinlan, Texas on March 17, 1991. She was driving a 1980 or 1981 blue and gray Buick Skylark with Texas license plates at the time of her disappearance. We never heard from her again.
At the time of his disappearance, Parker was living with friends in Quinlan and working nights at Flanders PrecisionAire, an air conditioning company in Terrell, Texas. She has three children, all under the age of six in 1991. She disappeared just days before her son's birthday and she had thrown a party for him. Parker left her last paycheck behind, and it was eventually mailed to her father's house. There has been no activity on his driver's license since 1991.
When Parker's father found out she was missing, he told a friend who was a police officer, and the officer promised to file a missing person's report. Parker's sister also attempted to file a report with the Terrell Police Department, but police logged it as a welfare check and not a missing person's report. It wasn't until 2010 that Parker's family discovered that no missing person's report had ever been filed. Her sister then filed a second police report with the Hunt County Sheriff's Office.
In February 2021, nearly 30 years after Parker's disappearance, we found his vehicle submerged, upside down, in fifteen feet of water in Lake Tawakoni, off Highway 751.
We worked with the Hunt County Sheriff's Office and were only able to recover half of the car.
The car fell apart due to its age and being underwater for so long, and no human remains were found inside that evening.
A few weeks later, another state-led underwater investigation team went to investigate, and authorities hoped to uncover more evidence. Nothing was found at that time.
Our team here at AWP believes that a proper and thorough investigation was not conducted. As such, we plan to return in September to finish removing Carey's car and conduct a proper forensic search for any human remains in the area.
Parker's family believes she is dead and now have the answers they have been searching for for 30 years.
