Holocaust survivor Miriam Lichterman lived in Poland until the outbreak of World War II in September 1939. Miriam's family was kicked out of their home and forced to live in the Warsaw Ghetto. Miriam was later deported from there and endured several concentration camps throughout World War II. She was released in May 1945. In Miriam's testimony to the USC Shoah Foundation, she talks about her childhood in Poland, her experiences during the Holocaust, and her postwar life.
