Sybil & Sybil Exposed Review & Discussion (Spoilers)

For those of you who aren’t familiar, /”Sybil/” was the famous case of a patient diagnosed with multiple personality disorder (what is now known as dissociative identity disorder) who had an unprecedented number of personalities. The written account of her story by Flora Rheta Schrieber changed the face of psychology in a lot of ways; unfortunately, they weren’t necessarily good changes. In this video, I discuss my thoughts on the original book /”Sybil,/” as well as the behind-the-scenes information presented in /”Sybil Exposed./” Note that many of the events/facts presented in these books are discussed openly here; the books are non-fiction, which is why I wasn’t overly concerned with going into details, but because /”Sybil/” in particular is written in a narrative format, be aware that the story of the narrative will be spoiled by my discussion.
