The Age of Exploration: Crash Course in European History #4
The problem with European history is that it tends to escape from Europe. Europeans failed to stay in Europe. As human beings do, Europeans were busy traveling to trade, spread religion, and, in many cases, attempt to conquer other peoples. In the 15th and 16th centuries, Europeans developed a set of tools and techniques that would allow them to travel across the globe, in numbers and force previously unheard of on the planet. And many of the results weren't great for the people who already lived in the places the Europeans "visited."
